How do you make an art museum about migration relevant on the walls of a metro station? Rather than telling a fixed story of borders and displacement, we created ‘The Map of Man’, a fictional transit line. The map features emotional landmarks we all pass through, regardless of our origin or destination. The project makes smart use of the metro station’s stretched architectural lines. The mural contains no repetitions and unfolds like a timeline, revealing its landmarks to passengers as they descend the escalator or wait on the platform. The assignment was part of designing Fenix’s overall visual identity.
